"My Trip" Mobile App Design
"My Trip" is a mobile app that automates the creation of collage and photo-book, making the experience of sharing photos with trip buddies seamless and fun.
THE CHALLENGE
Given a basic need of finding an easy way to share photos among trip buddies, the challenge involved ideating around this need and to design a mobile app that does the following:
- Automatic sharing of trip photos within trip buddies.
- Focus on engaging features that make the sharing of photos fun and easy.

THE DESIGN PROCESS
1. IDEATION AND INITIAL SKETCHES
I did user/behavioral research with help of few friends and collected all the pain points. I also studied few of the existing apps that is used to share photos, create collage and photo-book to identify areas of improvements and short-comings. These were then used to iteratively design a user-friendly app.
2. WIREFRAMES OF MAIN SCREENS AND GESTURES EXPLORATION
3. USER TESTING
After 3 rounds of design iteration using presentation and think aloud method with different group of people each time, users found this app extremely useful and easy to use. Users loved the gestures used and the fact that the whole process of making collage and photo-book was simplified and automated to make the task easy.
